Welcome to Japan-Koi Wild.
We connect selected Japanese Nishikigoi, pond construction, in-house manufacturing, and personal consultation. What started as a small setup in the garage has grown into a family business with 12 employees, over 4,000 m² of storage and sales space, and a clear goal: Koi, water, and technology must fit together in the long term.

When you choose a Koi from us, it’s not just about a nice picture or a price. Together, we look at origin, body shape, size, development, and the effect in your pond system. This creates a selection that fits your water, your stock, and your expectations.
2004
What started as passion became our profession.
Christian Wild began at age 25 to turn his enthusiasm for Koi and pond systems into a career. Back then, he still personally brought the first Koi from abroad. With a few tanks in the garage, a lot of initiative, and a clear sense of water quality, the foundation for Japan-Koi Wild was laid.
2007
Growing together.
When Stella Wild joined the business, the passion gradually became a family company. Since then, we have been developing Japan-Koi Wild with the aim of advising customers honestly, selecting Koi consciously, and accompanying pond systems technically cleanly.
2013
An important step into our own structure.
With the founding of the GmbH, the grown family business became a company with its own organization, in-house manufacturing, and significantly more space for development, storage, consultation, and sales.
Today
Koi, pond construction, and manufacturing from a single source.
Today, 12 people work to bring high-quality Japanese Koi, filter systems, PE tanks, pond systems, and technical custom solutions together so that customers enjoy their water in the long term.

Personal relationships instead of anonymous purchasing.
Proximity to the breeders is part of our story. On site, trust, assessment, and the feeling for which Koi will later fit Japan-Koi Wild are developed.
What We Do
We always think of Koi together with the pond.
A Nishikigoi only unfolds its effect in the right environment. That’s why we consider not only variety, size, age, and breeder, but also water values, filter technology, stock, proportions, and later movement in the pond. This creates consultation that goes beyond a normal online shop.
Selection on site
Each Koi is evaluated in the water.
Body shape, skin quality, movement, and development potential are not evident in lists. Therefore, the fish are examined on site, bowled, and consciously selected.
In-house Manufacturing
Many solutions are created directly by us.
We develop and produce our own filter systems made of stainless steel, PE tanks, and technical custom constructions for ponds, swimming ponds, and pools. When a system has special requirements, we don’t build around a standard product, but plan a solution that truly fits.
Service
We remain reachable when the Koi is in the pond.
Maintenance, repair, technical support, and questions about acclimation are part of our service. A good purchase doesn’t end with payment, but when Koi, water, and technology work together reliably.
From breeder to pond
Care begins long before the sale.
A Koi's journey begins with clean tanks, gentle handling, and clear assessment. This same care should remain noticeable in consultation, shipping, pickup, and acclimatization.

For over 20 years, we have followed the same idea: A Koi must fit the person, the water, and the system. That’s why we show clear data, speak openly about possibilities and limits, and accompany selection, reservation, auction, pickup, or shipping personally.
